Telia Rumal- double ikat handwoven textile

CREDITS

My thanks go to the Gajam family of Puttapaka, Andra Pradesh, South India who generously gave of their time and hospitality to enable the documentation of the Telia Rumal, produced by their family since early last century. Special thanks go to G. Govardhana who made this documentation posible and to Pushpa latha , whose translation skills facilitated communication and learning through village life experience as well as weaving process. And I give recognition to the inhabitants of Puttapaka for their weaving expertise, spirit of co-operation, and general inquisitive nature.
